As a law firm specializing in medical professional liability defense, Leonard & Lyde has enjoyed a longstanding and productive relationship with the medical communities it serves. By virtue of its unique location in rural Northern California, Leonard & Lyde has developed close ties with individual physicians and medical groups practicing in the North State.

Leonard & Lyde has aggressively counseled and represented individual physicians and medical groups from such representative counties as Butte, Yuba, Sutter, Tehama, Glenn, Plumas, Shasta, Trinity, Colusa, Siskiyou, Lassen, Mendocino, Napa, and Nevada. The firm is well suited to represent clients in these areas because of its close proximity to court houses, witnesses and parties. The attorneys are familiar with the reputation of the local medical community, and understand the issues that are most important to local juries.

Over the past 25 years, the firm has tried 29 jury trials. The attorneys at Leonard & Lyde have collectively more than 55 years of civil litigation experience. Leonard & Lyde has been representing health care professionals since 1976. Representative clients include NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company, California Healthcare Insurance Company, Inc., A Risk Retention Group (CHI), The Mutual, and The Doctors Company.
